A picture of various spices.
Say goodbye to old-fashioned, messy or disorganized recipe collecting.

With Recipe Runway, managing and growing your treasured collection of signature recipes is easy, fun and creative.
1. What is Recipe Runway?
Recipe Runway is an online Recipe Center where digital images and electronic copies of your favorite recipes are safely stored, managed, and shared. Recipe Runway provides you with a password protected, online recipe center, where you can store, search, browse, edit, organize, email, decorate, or print your recipes at the touch of a keyboard. Add new recipes three easy ways: upload them yourself, personally type them in, or send them to us to have them professionally scanned and automatically loaded into your account.*

*Professional scanning packages must be purchased separately. To view scanning package prices, click on the “Pricing” link at the bottom of the page. Subscribers may purchase the packages from the left-hand action bar ("Order Scanning Packages") on the "My Recipe Center" page.
2. How do I get started?
It’s easy to start using Recipe Runway.
  1. Gather all of your favorite recipes. (Handwritten, from magazines or newspapers or online)
  2. Select the Get Started option.
  3. After you have purchased your Recipe Runway subscription, you will receive an automated email inviting you to start adding recipes to your Recipe Center.
  4. If you choose to have us professionally scan and automatically load your recipe collection into your account, choose a Recipe Runway scanning package (available from the left-hand action bar on the "My Recipe Center" page) to match the number of recipes you’d like to include in your start up collection. To complete your scanning package order:
    • Print out your Member Order Page
      • Mail your recipes along with your New Member Order Page to us at the following address:
        Recipe Runway
        P.O. Box 3219
        Redmond, WA 98073-3219
Note: Recipe Runway can only accept envelopes and packages delivered through the US Postal Service because express couriers will not deliver to a PO box.
      • Your original recipes will be returned to you by mail within 10-12 business days, and you will be notified by email when your recipes are loaded into your online Recipe Runway account and are ready to use.
3. If I purchase a professional scanning package, do I need to prepare my recipes in any way before I send them?
Yes. You need to count them to make sure that the number of recipes matches the total number of recipes in the scanning package you purchased. If you send less recipes than the number of recipes allotted in the scanning package you purchased, the number of recipes scanned and downloaded into your account will equal the exact number of recipes you sent. If you send more recipes than the number of recipes allotted in the scanning package you purchased, your extra recipes will be returned to you unscanned, and will not appear in your online account.

Optional preparation: Scanning creates an exact picture of your recipe. If there are unwanted pictures or other information on your recipes, you may want to trim or clean them up before sending. You may wish to make copies of your recipes before submitting.
4. What does my subscription include?
Your subscription includes 12 full months of online access, and the ability to search, browse, edit, organize, email or print recipes from your online collection at the touch of a keyboard. You can type in or upload new recipes to keep your recipe collection current, and growing. You can manually type in up to 5,000 recipes and upload up to 1,000 images into your Recipe Center. Even if you have reached these limits, you may still add recipes and images by purchasing additional scanning packages.
5. How long does it take for my online account to be activated?
Your account will be activated immediately once your subscription purchase is processed.
6. If I purchase a professional scanning package, will my original recipes be returned to me?
Yes. All of your recipes will be returned to you, at the address specified on your Member Order page, within 10-12 business days from the date you sent them to us.
7. Can anyone else access my personal online recipes?
Not without your explicit permission. Your Recipe Runway account is password protected and is therefore only accessible by you. However, you may opt to make a recipe public by clicking on the "Share" button, located towards the top of a given recipe. This will cause the button to turn green, indicating that the recipe is now available to the public. Turning on share mode will also reveal a link (URL), which can then be shared with your friends and families. If you change your mind later, you can click the "Share" button again; this will turn the button to red, indicating that the recipe is no longer publicly viewable.
8. Who can I share my recipes with?
Everyone. You are not restricted to sharing your recipes only with the Recipe Runway community. Recipes can be shared by emailing them, or posting a link to the recipe on the forum.
9. How do I change my password?
Select My Account and then follow the prompts to log in and change your account settings.

12. What happens to my recipes if I don’t renew my subscription next year?

If you choose not to renew, you will no longer have access to your online Recipe Center, or any of the recipes contained in it. Recipe Runway will hold on to your recipes and account for at least one year, in case you decide to renew your account.
