Dear Lori, at Recipe Runway, I have finally found a community where I can own up to the fact that I can't cook worth beans, but I LOVE recipes! Over the years I always meant to learn, but at 43, I think it's time to admit it - I'm just a restaurant girl. That being said, I TREASURE all of the recipe cards I have collected over the years, and as noted above, while I have rarely actually cooked any of them, I remember every story about the recipe, why someone gave it to me, and just looking at my recipe box (yes, I own one) makes me smile. It's not the words on the page - it's the effort of collecting and connecting over 30+ years that makes it special.
I can't imagine losing such history in the event of a fire - now with the scanning package I just signed up for, I will never be at risk of losing the feeling I get when I see the handwriting and history of the recipes.
My wishes to you and everyone at Recipe Runway for huge success!
